Our physician is a solo practitioner in San Diego, CA for many years, helping his local hospital, ScrippsHealth. He served on many IT projects, installing Centricity and the most recently EPIC.
Knowing the small business office environment helps but also the hospital is important as well for hardware, software, networking. Knowing the psyche of physicians helps as well.
His own private office was a test environment for networking, WiFi, cybersecurity etc.
In 2020, COvid-19 consulting was added to our options. Especially keeping a small office going through closures, and then when/how to open the office when it is time. Safe distancing, masks, barriers, limit waiting room traffic, limiting appointments, and how to do contact-free billing is all necessary.
